Background and Training:
Dr. Foster served as a Clinical Instructor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and co-developed the first Harvard Symposium on Family Therapy. He also taught at Boston University's Family Practice Residency before moving on to become Hawaii's Chief of Children's Mental Health. In Northern California he applied his experience in assisting in the development of a Children's System of Care at the county level, which integrated children's mental health with education, child protective services, and juvenile justice under one umbrella.. His integrative approach bridges brain-behavior relationships through neuro-biofeedback, nutrition, and traditional and non-traditional medical interventions.
Forensic Psychiatry and Media Presence:
His expertise in forensic psychiatry led to consulting for the Center for the Study of Violence and Violence Prevention at UCLA-Drew University. Dr. Foster's forensic evaluations of numerous murderers helped uncover insights into the root causes of violence. He consulted in high-profile cases like the Oklahoma City Bombing and appeared on television, sharing his experiences with the Unabomber and the Freeway Murderer.

Dr. Foster channels his clinical psychiatric and therapeutic experience into innovative approaches to transform abandoned and abused children.
